    Financial Assistance

    Patients currently receiving treatment or evaluation at Mayo Clinic, Rochester for a blood cancer are eligible for financial assistance once every 12 months. Financial assistance is available based on Red Drop Resources’ finances and ability to give; the average financial grant is about $500.

  • Winter Celebrations

    Families and/or individuals who are currently receiving treatment for a blood cancer in Rochester, MN are able to submit a wish list of items for each member of their family. 3-4 items will be provided for each individual.

    Lodging Assistance

    For patients seeking lodging in Rochester while here for treatment, Red Drop Resources has units available at our property, Travis’ House, as well as other units throughout the year. Lodging is available at no cost for a maximum of 75 nights. A referral from a Mayo Clinic social worker is required.

    Celebrations

    Celebrations happen at any time, even when you are battling a blood cancer. Red Drop Resources can help with making any celebration special, regardless of if its a birthday, anniversary, retirement, or baby shower.

Diagnosis confirmation

To get help from Red Drop Resources, you must be getting treatment or evaluation for blood cancer and visit the Mayo Clinic in Rochester at least three times a year. When applying, you can upload a letter from your medical team or a Mayo Clinic appointment guide with a visit summary that shows your diagnosis. You can also download our diagnosis confirmation form, then upload it with your application, email it to info@rdrmn.org, or fax it to (800) 219-6845.

Who Qualifies for Assistance through Red Drop Resources?

Any patient with a diagnosis of leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma who lives in Rochester, MN or must travel here at least 3 times per year for appointments or evaluations. Diagnosis confirmation is completed with Mayo Clinic prior to assistance being awarded.

How Long Does It Take to Get Financial Assistance?

This all depends on the volume of requests coming in and our own financial ability to give assistance. Generally, we have about a 6-8 week turn around time. You will be notified by email when your request is fulfilled.

Where is Travis’ House?

Travis’ House is located on East Center Street, about two miles from the Methodist campus. The exact address is given upon confirmation of staying with us.
